Parent-approved Resort

The  Pine Cliffs Resort is known across the world for being one of the leading luxury family resorts. Set in a gorgeous seaside location on the Algarvean coastline, Pine Cliffs is surrounded by stunning red cliffs and pine groves – not to mention the beautiful azure sea!

Pine Cliffs offers an incredible selection of sports and leisure facilities for older children and adults, including a world-class nine-hole golf course complete with the “Devil’s Parlour” – a three-par hole famous for spanning over a 198-meter gorge. Other facilities include the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy, a cutting edge spa and health club, access to a wide variety of water sports and other activities such as basketball, football, and much more.

But the reason so many families flock to Pine Cliffs over the spring and summer seasons is because the resort is just as friendly to younger children – and offers just as many, if not more, amazing activities for little ones as it does for adults. Parents can safely drop off their precious ones aged between 6 months and 8 years at the exciting Porto Pirata, an adventure park just for children where they can enjoy face painting, bouncy castles, exploring a giant pirate ship, fun on the playground, a game of mini golf, and endless fun and excitement. Older children up to 12 years old can enjoy a day at the Junior Club, where they can play paintball, endless sports, socialise, and much more.

This guide will provide you with everything you need to know before booking your stay at this incredible child-friendly resort, so kick back with a cuppa and discover all of the adventure that awaits by the red cliffs and deep blue sea of the Algarve.

WHICH ROOM TO BOOK?

For families, try the single-story Pine Cliffs Residences and the two-story Pine Cliffs Terraces for a private and luxurious self-catering experience. Both feature fully-equipped, modern kitchens with laundry facilities. The Residences are ideally situated within the resort, making it easy to hop from one activity to another with a rest in between. There are nearby shops, pools and restaurants to keep everyone happy and entertained, making the Residences ideal for families with younger children. The Terraces are private and peaceful, so perhaps are more suited to older children. For those with only one child or for those who want interconnecting rooms, consider making your booking at the Pine Cliffs Resort Hotel. And for large groups, or multiple families traveling together, check out the four-bedroom villas, which come with private pools.

POOLSIDE

The resort features five outdoor pools throughout the grounds. The largest pool features a swim-up bar and is located next to the children’s pool. The Terraces enjoys a secluded infinity pool, and two more can be found by the Residences and the golf course. The health club offers a heated indoor pool. Porto Pirata, the children’s adventure park, offers some supervised sessions at its kids pool.

HEALTH CLUB AND SPA

The resort’s health and fitness club features a sauna, Jacuzzi and heated indoor pool (which is sometimes used for aquarobics classes). The gym is stocked with the latest technology weights and workout equipment and machines, and personal trainers are available for appointments. Yoga, pilates, aquarobics and other classes are available for booking.

The spa features three different treatment rooms where you can relax and melt your cares away with a wide variety of rejuvenating treatments, from massages to facials and a range of beauty treatments. A hairstylist is also available. Some spa treatments can be booked for you to enjoy in-room (for an additional charge).
